"Grow in Christ's Love to share Christ's Love"
The following is a list of current committees that serve our church and community, along with a brief description of their ministry and activities.
Worship and Music. This committee works with the pastor to create a Gospel centered public worship. They plan services where the community can gather to praise God and hear him speak through liturgy, scripture, prayer, song, sacraments, and sermons.
Finance. This committee reviews the current offerings and bills on a monthly basis. They set the budget for council to approve. This committee consists of the Church Treasurer, Financial Secretary, and other members.
Property. This committee is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and healthful environment to worship in. Meets the thrid Sunday of each month after worship.
Prayer Ministry. This committee is an exciting group who encourages prayer and ministers to others through prayer. They want to know how they can pray for the world, the community, the congregation, and for you! Meets the first Monday of the month at 8:30 AM.
Witness and Outreach. This committee is responsible for outreach activities of the congregation, including the Fall Dinner and Craft Sale, silent auctions, game nights, and summer picnics. This committee also sends out cards for various occasions and coordinates meals for those in need. This committee meets once a month.
Social Ministry. This committee strives to actively engage members of this congregation in being the hands of Christ to all people. Led by the Holy Spirit, this group does fund raising and community service projects. Fund raising efforts include cookie walks and rummage sales. Community Service projects have included road clean-up, lawn care, food shelf donations, winter clothing donations to schools, etc. Meets second Sunday of the month after worship.
Stewardship. This committee is responsible for encouraging the healthy stewardship of our members' many gifts. We encourage the congregation to give of their time, talents, and resources as a way to say thank-you for all they have been given. This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
Youth Education. This group is responsible for all aspects of the education of youth in our congregation, including Sunday School and Confirmation.
Adult Education. This committee organizes and develops Christian education opportunities for adults.
Church Council. This committee is made up of 9 members and is responsible for the major business of the church. Committee members are elected at the annual meeting in February. Meets the second Sunday of each month at 11:30 AM.
